Fukuoka Toei Hotel

Great location for its price! The hotel is close to the subway's Watanabe-dori Station as well as buses heading to Tenjin, Sumiyoshi, and Hakata Station. Within a short walking distance is Sunny (24 hours grocery), Sun Road, Yanagibashi Rengo Ichiba, FamilyMart, Lawson, and tax-free drugstores like Ohga Pharmacy. An Anytime Fitness branch is also nearby. From the airport, take the subway to Hakata Station, transfer to Nanakuma Line for Watanabe-dori, take Exit 1, then it's less than 3 minutes walk to the hotel. If you have heavy luggage going home, I recommend taking a taxi to the airport from the hotel. It's less than 5km and about JPY2,000 to the international terminal. For the room, I was very happy with the cool air conditioning as well as the water heating in the bathroom. Enough space for a solo traveler with large luggage open on the floor. Housekeeping and staff are very helpful. Coin laundry was easy to do because of the multilingual signs. If you need coins, just exchange your bills at the lobby. My room is in the older annex building. If you have the budget for the rooms at the newer main building, I recommend it as it looks beautiful!

Breakfast is versatile and delicious, even better than lots of brunch place, it’s so goood!!

For the money I paid (about £50 at the time of writing) this hotel was very good value. The room is quite small, but it was clean (bar a very small amount of mould on the curtain), the bathroom was nice and a good breakfast was included in the price. For a night or two I think it is definitely worth staying here if you are looking for a more budget option.

- Modern, more European-style Hotel, central - the bus-stops and the metro is just a couple of meters away. - If you haven't booked breakfast (if you are not an asian nationality - you guys are might eat such amazing dishes for breakfast every day - so for you it won't be that interesting maybe), I would absolutely recommend that! One of the best I have ever eaten! Nice ambiente, much to choose from, also soups/ warm cuosine. For appr. 10 € it is a dream! - The room for 1 person is really functionable, you get everything you need. The bed is absolutely enough for someone with 180-185 cm height. - They gave you amenities.

-I am not sure if the hotel was very affordable by Japan standards because we booked almost 3 months ahead of our travel but nonetheless, the value for price we paid is top notch. -Room for 3 was so spacious. There’s a separate small sala set/living area within the room. Beds (even the extra sofa bed) was very comfortable. Hotel is generous with toiletries and amenities. Rooms are cleaned every day and fresh set of towels are also provided daily. -Internet was very stable and very fast. -Check in and check out process was quick and easy. -Staff spoke good English and very helpful. -Location is excellent. Easy access to Hakata and Tenjin via subway and bus. While these stations are 2-3 stops away, I preferred the Watanabe-dori area since it is quieter. -Breakfast can booked with the room but for those who opt out, there’s a good Japanese restaurant beside that serve’s affordable meal sets. There’s also plenty of convenience stores and other restaurants nearby.
